CORDONFIL® operates in the textile sector, manufacturing threads and cords with different materials, finishes, colors, and sizes for the footwear, clothing, decoration, jewelry industries, etc., using natural and synthetic raw materials of the highest quality.
Manuel Gil Forniés founded CORDONFIL® in 1973 after 20 years of dedication to the thread sector; in 1975 he introduced the production of cords as a complement to thread manufacturing for hand stitching and Goodyear stitching; and since the early nineties, its specialty has been polished or waxed cord, intended for high-quality dress shoes.
The second generation of the company has continued to focus mainly on the footwear sector, but without excluding any other industry, working for most of the best-known manufacturers and wholesalers within this sector, and counting among its clients some of the world’s leading brands. Proud to work together with all of them, we export more than 50% of our production mainly to Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Thanks to the wide range of materials used in the manufacturing of our products, along with the full range of colors we work with, we can offer products that best suit our clients’ needs. Our raw materials offer high resistance to use, granting our products great durability. Additionally, we have extensive experience working with material samples (leather, fabric…) or color references (Pantone, RGB, etc.) to achieve a perfect color match with your sample or design. We update our color chart according to each season’s trends.
